HTTPS stands for ‘Secure’. It means all communications between your browser and the website are encrypted. Switching to HTTPS will help you stay in Google’s good books. Why is that? Well HTTPS is a far more secure system for your website to operate. It goes without saying that search engines will have a preference for trusted websites. So, in terms of your overall SEO strategy HTTPS over HTTP is a big yes seeing as though 1 in 4 visitors would abandon a website if it takes more than 4 seconds to load. Make sure at least one image file name includes your target keyword and that your target keyword is part of your image Alt Text. Think of new ideas to expand your content, or even to invest in evergreen content, and make sure you think like a reader, rather than a search engine. There is a massive amount of content available on the internet, but none is more important to website owners and marketers than search engine results pages (SERPs). You should always Google keywords before committing to them.because it’ll help you to understand what—in Google’s eyes—is the best result for that particular keyword. If most of the results are vastly different to the content you’re trying to rank, it probably isn’t a great keyword to target.

Content marketing is about building meaningful relationships

Standard SEO advice is to keep the site architecture as flat as possible, to minimize clicks from the home page to important content. Do not go off the deep end, though; too many links on a page are not good for search engines either. The text of the link helps provide Google additional context about the topic of the linked page, i.e. what keywords that page should rank for. So links that contain keywords related to what you sell or where you’re located – and even links for your brand name – are going to help you rank. Are your customers business-to-business (B2B), business-toconsumer (B2C), or both? Do you need very different treatments for each segment? (The answer is probably yes.) Use sub-directories rather than sub-domains when possible. Sub-domains do not share link love from the main domain as it is treated as a different domain. Keywords are still an important part of SEO, but relevance can often be figured in more abstract ways.

Industry Content Analysis

Basically, there are three main types of keywords: generic, broad match and long tail. Each of them attract a bit different types and amount of traffic. The safest and the most effective strategy is to mix those types of keywords in order to get different variety of traffic. The intent of web users searching on their mobile devices will be different from the intent of those searching the web on their desktop. The same SERP principle applies. Most mobile web browsers are looking for something fast, such as where to get something, directions to a place, how to fix something or how to get a hold of someone. Google’s SERPs for them will be different from someone searching the web on their desktop. Keep track of how many times your past keywords have yielded expected results. Use the right tools to track where you rank for the keywords you target. SEO in Goole is here. Bouncing is when somebody clicks into your blog and then clicks back out without taking the time to read your content, click any links, or answer your call to action. Every page is going to have some bounces. Link buildinghappens when you manage to get more links to your website from other sites than your competition. In other words if the spiders and crawlers see that there is a link to your website in 500 blogs it will increase your credibility compared to a website that only has 10 links linking to it.

Do a quick Google search for the phrases

Gaz Hall, a Freelance SEO Consultant from SEO Hull, commented: "Diving straight into the internet without any clear game plan is time-wasting, dangerous and more often than not, a futile attempt to rank any website for maximum targeted traffic. " Do your maths - its one of the primary resources for this sort of thing. Its as simple as KS2 Maths. Really! I’m sure you don’t need me to tell you that analyzing the link profiles of your competitors is one of the best ways to find backlink opportunities for your website. Optimizing your content is truly what most of these other tips have been preparing you for. Having a news section on your site is a really good idea. It gives you the opportunity to fit in lots of keywords and it means you are regularly updating your website (which the search engines look favourably on). Having a blog on your site is good for the same reasons; plus if you are focusing on specific keywords you can write a post around them. Ask other sites who link to your major competitors to link to you as well. You can find who these are through a search engine such as Google, by searching link: www.yourcompetitor.com. It is often good to exchange links with other firms within your category of trade, because these all also help improve your ranking within major search engines.

Avoid link directories that link to all types of websites

Your title tag needs to be written for humans – as in it needs to make logical sense, rather than a keyword stuffed mess. The title tag will appear in a variety of places, from SERPs, to a social share, to the browser tab, so make sure it’s relevant and readable. Never start writing an article without performing a keyword research. The best tool to use is the free Google Keyword Tool. Find sites that are relevant to your website but are not direct competitors. The more relevant the links, the more valuable it will be and therefore the easier it will be for them to explain why they are linking to your website. Even if you already have an SEO strategy in place, you need to understand how it is performing. Is the strategy meeting your objectives? Are core tactics like on-site SEO and link-building having the desired impact? How is your strategy performing when compared to your competition? SEO ranking improves when visitors stay on your site longer, view more pages, and repeat their visits. The more user-friendly your site is, the more likely this is going to happen.

Real SEO is all about helping Google understand the content of your website. It’s about steering, guiding and assisting Google. Not manipulating it. Many people still think that having a high volume of crawlable and indexable pages is *always* better. ou can find out the same by tracking the keywords that users are typing in the search bar on your website. You can get a nice long list of keywords from there. Find out the information your users are searching for. Do you provide that information on your website? Is your website giving the users all that they are looking for? Ask yourself these questions. External links are links from websites other than your own. Google relies heavily on external links to determine how good a post is. And this makes sense, doesn't it? You can talk about yourself and your own skills all day long, but no one will believe you. But as soon as other people begin bragging about you, others take notice. If you make a website from scratch, you need to take a few SEO related things into account. It’s incredibly important to do this right from the start, as that will prevent a vast number of future headaches.
